Following England's loss to New Zealand in the Women's World Cup semi-finals, head coach Craig Richards has left his position.
Richards led England to the World Cup semi-finals for the fourth year in a row.
Richards said during the post match press conference that he wouldn't be staying in the job.
A further announcement will be made after the World Cup.
Five years has passed since I tried to close the gap. Richards believes that England's players need to become professional if they are to close the gap on New Zealand and Australia.
Someone else will take the team forwards. It was made a long time ago. I will support from afar since it won't be me.
Richards took charge of England after the World Cup and led them to nine victories.
Dave Rotheram, the RFL's chief on-field officer, said that Craig was appointed to take over immediately after the World Cup in Australia, and has developed the team through this current World Cup cycle.
He was required to adapt to the unique challenges presented by Covid-19 as a result of a ground-breaking tour of the country in the year 2019.
After the Rugby League World Cup, the RFL will make a further announcement about the future of the England women's team.
