While Apple's satellites make it possible for anyone to share their location when they are off the grid, the feature is geared to help users in a genuine emergency.

Even if your phone doesn't have a cellular connection, you can still share your location with friends and family, even if you don't have a wi-fi connection.

The following steps will show you how to use the feature. If you haven't already done so, you need to update your device. If you don't have cellular coverage and aren't connected to the internet, you won't get the feature.

  1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone 14.
  2. Tap on the Me tab.
  3. Swipe up to see "My Location via Satellite," then tap Send My Location.

There is only one thing to it. Anyone who you share your location with will be able to see where you are even if you don't have a cell phone.

Crash Detection and Fall Detection are among the features available on the Apple Watch and the satellite connection on the iPhone 14 lineup.

Apple's satellite services are included for free for two years after the first year of the new phone's existence. In December, Find My via satellite will be available in France, Germany, Ireland, and the UK, as well as in the United States and Canada.
