The selection process will occur in a “snake style” format. Teams will take turns drafting players, with the pick order reversing each round.

The draft will be held at the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas according to the league's website. A total of 1,700 players in the XFL draft pool will be competing for the 528 training camp spot and 400 active player roster spots.

The quarterbacks will be announced on Tuesday.

The first day of the draft will feature offensive skill positions, defensive backs, defensive front-seven players and offensive linemen, while the second day will be dedicated to special team players before time dedicated to open selections for all positions.

There is no shortage of star power in the XFL league.

Bob Stoops, who was the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, is the head coach of the Arlington Renegades. Rod Woodson is the head coach of the Vegas Vipers, while four-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion Hines Ward is the head coach of the San Antonio Brahmas. The head coach for the Houston Roughnecks will be WadePhillips, who has been a head coach in the National Football League.

Will any players emerge as household names in the new league?

P.J. Walker was a quarterback in the last edition of the XFL and is now a starter for the Carolina panthers. He started two games in 2020 and 2021.

Maybe the next Walker will be drafted.
