TP-Link is going to release a number of new routers based on the upcoming IEEE specification. The company is redesigning its entire product line, which includes its main archer line, home mesh Deco products, and business products.
It can enable a device to connect to two spectrums at the same time, and it has obvious improvements like faster speeds and less lag. You will need to purchase a new device if you want to take advantage of the higher-capacity 320MHz channels in the new generation.
The $699.99 flagship quad-band Archer BE900 looks like a Western Digital hard drive with lights and a touchscreen, and it's the first of the new TP-link routers. The front of the phone has a clock, weather, and wireless statistics, as well as a grid of LEDs that can display things like a winking emoji. There are also features for smart devices.
The BE900 can support wireless speeds of up to 24Gbps, which is less than the theoretical 40Gbps, but it is still more than the company's previous routers. The BE900 still supports your new 6 GHz phone or laptop, even though there aren't many devices that can take advantage of wi-fi 7 yet.
Older devices can take advantage of the dual 5 GHz bands that can both support 6Gbps speeds and if your internet service provider offers it. The BE900 can also be used as a local area network. You get more than one 2.5G port to build your network. Preorders for the BE900 will begin on December 31st and will be available in the first quarter of23.
There are less feature-packed versions of TP-Link. There is a tri-band BE800. It still has internet service, but lacks some features. The BE550 has only 2.5Gbps of ethernet ports and a max wireless speed of 9.3Gbps. These models are ready to create a larger home network.
There is an app-powered Game Panel that can help prioritize gaming traffic above all else on the network, which makes the new tri-band archer GE800 gaming router a good choice for people who like to play video games. It has two 10Gb ports, two 2.5Gb ports, and four more gigabits of bandwidth. There is a dual-tower antenna with multi-colored LEDs. The price is expected to come in either Q1 or Q2 2023.
The cost of entry for a two-pack of TP-Link's Deco XE75 is going to go up by $700 due to the new version of the company's wi-fi product. The Deco BE85 tri-band mesh routers system has two 10G ports and is available for a two-pack price of $999. There will be a Deco BE65 with 11Gbps speeds later in the year, but no price has been given.
A higher-end quad-band version (BE95) that sports up to 33Gbps across four frequencies, though the company states the speed is not guaranteed, will be available for $1,199.99. The Deco BE95 and BE85 will be available for pre-order on December 31st and will be available in the first quarter of the following year.
The all-new lineup from TP-Link includes a new Omada access point and a new cellular 5G routers. It is not clear if these devices will need to be updated once things are finalized. We reached out to TP-link, but they didn't reply before publication. You only need to wait until early 2023 to get a taste of TP-Link's new set.
