J.J. Watt gave another generous act today. A fan showed Watt how the ref's decision to blow dead a play in which Watt was about to return a fumbled ball for a touchdown would have paid him $1,000 as part of a three-leg wager. "They blew that play dead but you would've walked in the endzone...should've won $1000, wanna help a brotha out?" the accompanying message read with tears of joy. The Arizona Cards won the moneyline, James Conner scored a touchdown and the defense scored a touchdown. The first two were hits. Watt offered to send the man the grand after a half hour. Yeah you got screwed. (we both did 😂)I got you. DM me your address. https://t.co/rbtNUWcSL7
There was a play in the second quarter. The ball was knocked out of the quarterback's hand by Myjai Sanders. Watt recovered the fumbled ball and had an open field between him and the end zone, but the play was ruined by a missed pass by the quarterback. The play was overturned by a review and the Cards scored a touchdown at the Rams' 30.
Watt said that the man said he messed up. He apologized and said he couldn't do anything else.
Watt was flagged for a delay of game penalty after spiking the ball in the third quarter of the game. He picked up a loose ball after one of Wolford's passes was knocked down and started running, but he was ruled incomplete by the ref.
Watt was frustrated with the situation and there were a few holding calls that he wasn't calling. I like the guy. The referee is a good one.

It was a frustrating one from that point of view.
The team couldn't do anything after the fact about the call, according to the coach.
He said it was done. I think Watt needs to say what he wants to say on the field, but he needs to be careful and that's why he was given a delay of the game. It worked both ways.
