An absolutely loaded Kentucky men's basketball class of 2023 got even better Monday when DJ Wagner, a 5-star guard who plays for Camden (New Jersey) High School, chose to play for the Cats.

The top prospect in the Class of 2023, Wagner, has committed to Paul Biancardi, according to his announcement.

The outlet of choice seemed to be a formality after Branham revealed news of the announcement.

A group of 5-star prospects, including a center, a small forward, and a point guard, are part of the class of 2023. Bradshaw is a fellow at Camden.

Reed Sheppard is ranked 29th overall.

The report for the combo guard was provided by Adam Finklestein, the director of scouting for the site.

Wagner has a lot of weapons at his disposal. He is an elite competitor who plays hard, has a way of raising the level of those around him, and doesn't get enough credit for his defensive mindset. A legitimate threat to create his own shot at all three levels, he plays in constant attack mode, accelerates right at his defender, scores around the rim with both hands, and is a legitimate threat to create his own shot.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took the son of a former NBA guard in the 2002 NBA draft. Over the course of four NBA seasons, he averaged 9.2 points.

He is the grandson of a man who was a college ball player.

The school's legacy of getting elite high school talents on a yearly basis was strengthened by the choice of Wagner. The Kentucky team has a chance to be up there with some of the greatest teams in school history.
