The head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders may be with the team for the entire four-year contract he signed ahead of the 2020 season.

Ed Graney of the Las Vegas Review-Journal quotes Davis as saying that he has no issues with Josh. I am getting to know him better. Do you expect someone to fulfill a contract when you sign them?

The head coach is doing a great job. That's what made me hire him. The person we believe is going to bring the Raiders to greatness is the one we searched for the longest.

According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, there's nothing to worry about.

Las Vegas is arguably the most disappointing team in the league at this point, but there is something to be said for giving a new head coach time to build relationships with his players.

The team made the playoffs a year ago and added a star wide receiver in Davante Adams, elevating expectations even in a loaded division.

The Raiders have lost three in a row and are no longer in the playoff race. With four of the next six on the road, things may not get much better in the immediate future.

They are still playing in the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle Seahawks and New England Pats.

Davis is paying attention to the bigger picture.

He said that life is not static. It's not static." At the end of the year, you want to hold the trophy. We aren't there yet. It is frustrating for the fans. I'm sympathetic for them. I am also a fan.

His track record as a head coach isn't inspiring. He was the head coach of the Broncos for two seasons in 2009 and 2010 and posted an 11-17 record, which is a far cry from the success he had as an offensive assistant with the New England.

The Raiders are trying to be patient. They want the wins to add up eventually.
