Musk made the statement as part of a thread started by an employee of the company who accused Musk of giving incorrect information on why the app has been.
Musk's decision to sleep at the office came as he was told that he was rolling back the company's work-from- home policy and expected everyone to work 80 hours a week.
Some staff have been told to work 12 hours a day in order to meet deadlines.
Musk has talked about his sleep habits before. During a recent interview at the B-20 summit in Indonesia, Musk admitted that it's not something he would recommend.
In early November, Musk told attendees at a conference that he used to sleep on the factory floors of the company.
