Benjamin Mendy was a good boy, but he didn't know what the player did in his spare time, according to the court testimony of the Manchester City manager.
Seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexual assault against six young women have been denied by Mr. Mendy.
The French player was liked by the City boss but he didn't know how he spent his spare time.
He said he was not his father.
Mr Mendy's counsel Eleanor Laws asked if he was aware of what Mr Mendy did in his spare time because he was not on social media.
He said that he was only interested in Mr Mendy as a player and that he wasn't able to look after all the other players.
Mr Mendy told the court that he broke Covid-19 regulations more than once when he held social gatherings at his house.
Mr Guardiola told the court that he had spoken to the player and that Mr Mendy had accepted that he had done the wrong thing.
Mr Mendy was an exceptional player who was always happy in the locker room.
The player is accused of rape.
The man told the court that he came to be with all of the people.
A number of women were raped by Mr Mendy and his friend at either the footballer's mansion or an apartment.
Mr Mendy has denied all the charges against him, while Mr Matturie has denied six counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
If sex took place it was consensual, according to both men.
