UVA President Jim Ryan confirmed the deaths of the football players on Monday.

Ryan said earlier in the day that three people had died and five had been shot at a garage. Two people were shot and survived.

Ryan wrote in an email to students and faculty that he was devastated by the violence at the University of Virginia. We have decided to cancel classes today because of the traumatic incident.

Jones is the suspect in the shooting. He played football for the University of Virginia. Authorities confirmed at a press conference that Jones is in police custody.

This season, Davis made 16 catches for 372 yards and two touchdown.

There is gun violence in the US. Gun ownership in the U.S. is higher than any other country in the world. Despite gun reform being overwhelmingly popular, there has been a lack of meaningful change in the country.

There are around 600 incidents this year where at least four people have been shot in the United States. In November there have been 25 such incidents.
