The son of the company's chairman was arrested in Arkansas. According to the preliminary arrest report, a woman who didn't know him found him sleeping in her bed. Tyson was unable to say anything to the police because of his breath smell. The woman told police that she thought the door was unlocked.
Tyson said on the call that he takes full responsibility for his actions.
He told them that he was committed to making sure this never happened again.
Tyson is the great grandson of John W. Tyson. He was promoted to CFO of the meat giant in September after serving as the company's chief sustainable officer. His appointment caused some eyebrows on Wall Street.
Tyson's shares were little changed in morning trading. The company's fourth-quarter earnings fell short of expectations but its revenue was better than expected.
