The Supreme Court Justice who voted to overturn the abortion law joked that the applause she received was nicer than listening to the pro-choice protesters.
The audience of nearly 2,000 conservative lawyers welcomed JusticeBarrett to the stage with a standing ovation at the National Lawyers Convention 40th anniversary Gala.

The most recent appointment to the nation's highest court,Barrett's vote solidified the conservative court majority that overturned the abortion rights of the nation.
The only woman on the court who voted to roll back the protections was nominated by Donald Trump.
Since she voted to roll back abortion rights, pro-choice activists have become more active in protesting against her. Since a draft opinion leaked in May indicating the court was prepared to overrule abortion, protesters have gathered outside the Justice's home.
In the months since the leaked decision was published, there have been protests near his home and in public spaces. A California man is accused of trying to kill a United States judge and is facing federal charges.
