The Portugal international insists that it was United and Ten Hag who pushed him to leave the club. He said that Manchester United tried to get him to leave.

The other two or three guys who are around the club are the managers. I felt bad. People need to listen to the truth. I felt betrayal. I feel that some people didn't want me here.

During the interview, he accused United of failing to move forward in the time between his departure to Real Madrid in 2008 and his return to the club in 2021.

"I followed my heart." Ferguson told me that it was not possible for me to come to Manchester City.

No progress was made. I didn't see any change since Sir Alex left. There was nothing different. The club is not on the path that they deserve to be.

He's aware. Everyone is aware. People don't see that. They are blind and don't want to be seen.
