Ertz was taken off the field in the first quarter with a knee injury.

Ertz had a 12-yard catch.

After spending the first nine years and 123 regular-season games of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, the 32-year-old veteran is in the midst of his 10th season in the National Football League.

Entering Sunday's game, Ertz had caught 46 passes for 394 yards and four touchdown in nine games for the Cards.

In October of 2021, Ertz was traded to Arizona in exchange for a fifth-round pick and a safety.

In 11 games, he recorded 56 catches for 574 yards and three touchdown.

Three years in a row, Ertz was nominated for the Pro Bowl. He finished with at least 800 receiving yards in five of the last six seasons.

In that five-year period, Ertz averaged 86.2 catches for 924.4 yards and 5.6 touchdown catches.

He had his best year in the past when he had 116 catches for 1, 163 yards and eight scores.

The worst statistical campaign of Ertz's career took place in 2020.

Ertz missed five games because of an injury and finished with 36 catches for 335 yards and a single touchdown.

Ertz' production didn't improve when Hurts took over the starting job because of the poor quarterback play of Carson Wentz.

He was the subject of trade rumors throughout the season because he wanted to move on.

After the Cards lost Maxx Williams for the season with a knee injury, the trade rumors began to circulate.

Ertz's injury is a huge blow to an offense that was already without Kyler Murray. Without Ertz, Colt McCoy is likely to focus on distributing the ball to his strong group of wide receivers.

As far as the tight end position is concerned, look for Stephen Anderson to take on more responsibility.
