Kevin O'Connell's team should be thanking star wide receiver Justin Jefferson for a miracle performance after the Vikings and Bills went to overtime on Sunday.

Jefferson caught eight passes for 156 yards and one touchdown before overtime, but his biggest play of the game was on 4th-and-18 from the Minnesota 27-yard line in the fourth quarter.

The Vikings had a chance to win the game if Jefferson had not made the catch of his life.

Many are calling Jefferson's catch the "catch of the year" because of it's huge popularity.

My working theory is that the Justin Jefferson catch was so good that it opened up a portal to a parallel universe, and we’re now living in a bizarre alternate reality

Justin Jefferson catch of the year.

Entering Sunday's game, Jefferson was second in the league in receiving yards with 867, behind Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill who had 1,104.

The receiver, who was selected 22nd overall in the 2020 draft out of LSU, is on pace to have his third straight 1,000-yard season. He'll be in for a huge contract extension when the time comes because of the way he's been playing.
