The online community dubbed "Black Twitter" has weathered periods of social injustice and several tumultuous elections, but it may be time to call it quits.

In the wake of Musk's takeover of the site, some users are unsure of their future on the site. To mourn the loss of the social media platform as they know it, many on the corner of BlackTwitter rely on comedy.

BlackTwitter is an online network of black users. Although it's not an official organization with designated representatives, the community has proven it can bring comedy to the site and start important conversations.

While some Black users feel that the network is in danger due to the trial-and-error period, it hasn't stopped them from having a few laughs.

The app's online success was attributed to BlackTwitter. Some promised to follow Black users if they left the social networking site.

"I'm waiting for BlackTwitter to decide the next app they'll make successful," user Rafael Shimunov wrote.
