Kari Lake enters the polling center at the Downtown Phoenix Post Office to cast her ballot with her children on Nov. 8, 2022.

Tonight is the last chance for the lake to be saved.

The candidate who slashed and burned her way through the 17-month campaign is at a crossroads.

She didn't need moderate Republican voters or independents as she moved along with her America First "movement".

She isn't getting them yet.

This is from Saturday's release of votes in the county.

The Republican candidate for the county gained 9,059 votes. Lake was able to gain 3,001 over the other.

Most of the ballots released on Saturday came from Election Day early vote drop-offs in Republican strongholds in north Phoenix and the East Valley, which should cause alarm in "Karizona."

Lake will perform better in the Sunday evening vote drop. The window is closing for the ultra-MAGA movement because only 266,000 of the 2.5 million votes have been counted.

According to Paul Bentz, a pollster for HighGround, Lake needed 54.2% of the remaining votes to catch up.

She needs more than 50 percent.

Lake predicted she would win in a big way. She made the rounds of conservative media to sow doubt about the results, even as she assured her voters that her victory is "inevitable."

"America and Arizona: We have the best attorneys in the nation right here in Arizona," she said. Every ballot has something to look at. GOP Ballots begin to drop tonight. Votes are about to start.

Since then, she has increased her lead.

Lake hasn't commented on social media.

Tonight's vote is crucial for Lake.

What do you think about me? I wonder if she is thinking about the late John McCain, a man she once called an "icon" and a "loser".

She stood at a CPAC summit a few days after her primary election win.

She said that they drove a stake through the McCain machine.

She derided the party of McCain during a campaign event on the Friday before the election.

She asked if there were any McCain Republicans in the room.

Get the hell out. Lake said something to them.

It looks like they've done that so far.

All should be told tonight.

It is a make or break day for the lake. Does John McCain laugh?
