Kevin Sinfield is running to raise money for motor neurone disease research.
Rob was a teammate of the former Rhinos player and has raised more than five million dollars for charity.
On the first day of his challenge, he will run from Murrayfield Stadium an average of more than 40 miles per day.
The Rugby League World Cup final will be held at Old Manchester.
In order to raise money, Sinfield will run more than 300 miles this week.
The money will be shared between several charities which support people who have been affected by a motor neurone disease.
Donations will be made to My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, and the 4ED campaign to support a former rugby union player who was recently diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
The new fundraising challenge came after two people were diagnosed with the disease.
He said they would try and hit places that meant a lot to Doddie, Rob and Stephen.
During the men's World Cup Final on November 19th, he will run through several cities on his route south, ending in Manchester.
He expects the week to be pretty brutal, but he thinks it's worth it in the end.
