Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy at NYCC 2017.

Kevin Conroy, the Batman voice actor who died at the age of 66 after a battle with cancer, was reported to have died just before the weekend began. We asked you about some of your favorite scenes from Caped Crusader in order to understand why they were so important. He spent a long time being Batman.

Some great selections were made in the comments section of the answer, which was that Kevin Conroy voiced Batman a lot. Almost all of them are connected to the DCAU at some point. It shows how long those series have been around, and how large shadows loom over every other piece of DC media that has come since then. He said that a generation of Batman may be generous because of how important he has been to the character. Batman is Batman, forever, even though he wouldn't be Batman forever.
