Danny Ings celebrates
Danny Ings has now scored four goals in as many games after his double against Brighton.

Danny Ings scored a pair of goals as the Villans beat the Seagulls.

The hosts took the lead after 49 seconds when Mac Allister took the ball from Douglas and made a move towards the goal.

It was the fastest score by the Seagulls in the league.

Ings scored from the penalty spot after Lewis Dunk committed a foul in the box.

Despite the game being fairly open, Villa were better in the final third and caused problems for Seagulls.

When his side won in the 54th minute, he made up for his earlier mistake. He challenged Mac Allister on the edge of the box before pushing the ball into Ings' path.

The Seagulls did not do enough to trouble the Villa keeper despite having a lot of possession.

Villa goes into the World Cup break in 12th place, five points clear of the danger zone.

There's more to come.
