Maybe you don't want to use the service, but you still want to read the messages. It's possible, but there are stumbling blocks added.

There are ways to make it easier to find out what's going on in the world of social media. The browser extension can be used to accomplish this.

Why you might want to browse Twitter without a login

The world's richest individual is the owner of the social media site. Musk is a partisan activist who owns a platform for digital communication, even though he advocates for right-wing political candidates, which is his right. He has shown himself to be callous and divisive by posting a callous and divisive meme and speaking against his critics.

He has put thousands of people out of work in recent weeks in order to make the company economically viable, even though he denies wanting to profit from it. He has responded to a drop in his company's revenue not by promising to be a better manager, but by sanctimoniously whining about activists seeking to stymie his effort to rebuild Twitter around his own idea of free speech.

Musk can run his company and life as he pleases. Any pearl-clutching on Musk's part about people responding badly to his attempt to remake TWoP is pure melodrama. The millions of people he chooses to annoy and antagonize every day when he broadcasts his thoughts via his app have every right to be upset.

Musk makes money from your data. According to the app industry blog, Business of Apps, in the first half of the 21st century, 500 million dollars were made from data sales. According to that same site, it made $4.5 billion from ads that year. Some ad agencies are telling their clients not to pay Twitter right now, and Musk has stated that he would like the company to rely less on advertising.

Having a account on the social networking site leads to obsessive behavior. It is a good idea to not log in if you are avoiding it because you want to read it.

What happens if you browse Twitter without an account?

If you don't have a password for your mobile browser, you'll be asked to sign in immediately.

If you click through to the account that posted the tweets that interests you, you can often see more from that account, as well as other users. You'll see a pop-up asking you to log in if you want to see more of it.

The pop-up is useless for scrolling. Hit the back button on your browser if you want to close it.

The anonymous employee who spoke to the New York Times said that the innovation was a Musk one. One of the first things Musk did after buying the company was to change the view on the Explore page to allow ads to be served to people who aren't in the account.

Not having an account is not enough to completely cut off Musk's gravy train. You can still browse without logging in.

If you can't follow people, you won't be as addicted to the service as you would have been if you could. You can bookmarks the profiles of users you find interesting and return to them often.

If it does sell the data of people who don't log in to its site, that's a problem that should be kept in mind.

At least you won't have information about you that includes your actual written thoughts, and data on others' thoughts that you like, all of which is attached to a profile that includes your name, photo, and location
