One of Four Seasons newest properties is the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale, which opened in March 2022. This was the first hotel stay we made with our son and we were looking for a quick trip to South Florida. We decided to make it a bigger family vacation by booking two rooms.
If you don't stay at the hotel, the restaurant is worth a visit even if you don't stay there. The review is ready to go...
Florida is a very seasonal hotel market, with rates varying throughout the year. The base room cost $525 per night and the resort fee was $45 per night. Since the start of the Pandemic, the hotel prices in Florida have been crazy and the hotel is more expensive in winter.
The best way to book a Four Seasons hotel is through a travel advisor who is affiliated with the Four Seasons preferred partner program. You pay the same rate when booking through the preferred partner, but you will receive additional perks.
Four Seasons offers a variety of promotions, including advance purchase rates, free nights, and more. Booking through programs like Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts is not as good as booking through the Four Seasons preferred partner program. What's the reason?
If you book through an eligible travel advisor, you will get all of these perks. Ford can be reached at ford@fordbtravel.com if you'd like to book a Four Seasons property.
The Four Seasons is located on North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, which is a main street in Fort Lauderdale with many hotels, restaurants, and other entertainment options. Think of Miami as Fort Lauderdale's version of Collins Avenue if you know anything about it.
The Four Seasons has a modern look. Both the hotel and residences can be found on the 22nd floor.
The pros and cons of Fort Lauderdale vs. Miami will be different from person to person. Some people like to visit Miami, some people like to visit Fort Lauderdale. There are two Four Seasons properties in the Miami area.
The lobby of the Four Seasons is beautiful. There are elements that remind you that you are at the beach, but the lobby is more elegant than you would find at a beach resort. There is a lot of seating in the lobby.
I really like the fact that there was complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning at Four Seasons.
The check-in experience was easy to navigate. Alexander, the front office manager, was very nice to us. We had keys to our rooms a short time later. Some of the activities that the hotel offers were highlighted in a pamphlet, along with the hours for many of the on-property outlets.
We were taken to the elevators after check-in. We were asked if we wanted to be taken to our rooms, but they didn't need to.
Since we were traveling as a family, we requested two rooms. We were upgraded to a Prime Lauderdale-view Suite and the other room was a standard Lauderdale- View King Room. There were two rooms on the eighth floor. There is a striped blue carpet in the hallway of the hotel.
The doors between the two rooms were kept open because the two rooms were behind a second door.
The suite has a layout that is great. The entryway leads into the living room.
There was a sofa, a chair, and a coffee table in the living room.
The living room had a variety of drinks and snacks for sale in the minibar.
There was a bottle of champagne and some chocolates waiting for you at the desk.
The living room had a balcony off of it. The view of the Atlantic Ocean from the room was beautiful in the morning.
I find the Four Seasons bed to be the best hotel bed out there and there was a door that led to the bedroom.
There was a TV in the corner of the room.
There was a dining table with two chairs near the bedroom balcony. The balcony had a better view of the ocean.
Double sinks, a soaking tub, a huge walk-in shower, and a toilet in a partitioned off room were found in the bathroom off the bedroom.
The amenities were in bottles.
The hotel's standard accommodations are the Lauderdale- View King Room. The standard rooms here are large and range in size from 439 to 670 square feet. The entryway of this room was very similar to the suite.
There was a table with a chair, a desk with a chair, and a wall-mounted TV in the room.
Four Seasons has a lot of nice things for babies.
Double sinks, a soaking tub, a walk-in shower, and a toilet were included in the bathroom of the room.
There was a dining table and chairs in this room. There was a view of the ocean from here.
The amenities are located on the third floor. The ocean sun deck is the location of the hotel's two pools.
This space was utilized well by the hotel. Two pools are on the deck. The curved pool is better for those who want to swim laps.
There are many seating options on the pool deck.
The beach and ocean can be seen from the pool. The smallest part of the pool deck is facing the ocean and I thought it was pretty cool.
I like that Four Seasons doesn't charge for sunscreen, unlike many other hotels.
Food and drink are available at the pool. Food and drinks can be ordered from 11AM until 5PM on the menu here.
The Four Seasons is a short walk from the beach. There are no hotels on North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard that are beachfront. If you are a big beach person then a hotel in Miami might be a better choice.
chairs and umbrellas are included for hotel guests at the Four Seasons.
There was a lot of seaweed on the beach during our visit, which I have found to be a consistent issue around the country.
The Four Seasons staff at the beach were very friendly.
There is a good gym on the third floor of the Four Seasons. The Four Seasons has a consistent focus on great gyms. This gym had everything from free weights to yoga rooms.
There is a large spa on the third floor of the Four Seasons. There are beautiful treatment rooms, a sauna and steam room, and more at the spa. The spa services menu can be found here.
There is a salon at The Four Seasons that is open from 10AM until 7PM.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all available at Evelyn's Fort Lauderdale. If you are in the area, you should eat here, even if you are staying at the hotel, just make a reservation in advance.
The dining experience here is one of the top five dining experiences I have ever had in Florida. The food is amazing, the presentation is imaginative, and the service is great, all of which make this place so special.
I took the below pictures first thing in the morning, as the restaurant was packed with locals for dinner.
I was interested in the description of the food at Evelyn's being "coastal Florida cuisine meets Eastern Mediterranean flavors." Below is what the menu looked like when we visited.
The food and cocktails are both imaginative.
We ordered the 1919 and planation punch.
As far as food goes, our server recommended that we order some truffle hummus with mushrooms.
Next up was the yellow fin tuna with bulgar, vegetables, and gems.
We went to town and had a salad with baby gems, pine nuts, and pecorino.
The grilled whole Branzino was part of our main course. We chose the batata harra and cauliflower couscous.
The dessert options sounded good, so I ordered something. The donuts were made with rose syrup and a diplomat.
Eat at Evelyn's if you can. You won't be regretting it. The meal was amazing.
You can get room service at no extra cost if you booked with a preferred partner. The breakfast menu can be found here.
The selection of drinks was great.
Some of the Middle Eastern flair of Evelyn's is maintained in the breakfast menu. All of the dishes we tried were great.
The lounge is located off the lobby. It feels like a small cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is open from 7AM until 9:30PM, so you can get a drink in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. The morning and all-day menu can be found here.
The cocktails at this place were different than the ones at Evelyn's.
Evelyn's, Honey Fitz, and in-room dining are available at the Four Seasons. The hotel is going to open a second restaurant just off the lobby, and it is expected to open in the year 2023. It is anyones guess what this will be, but the space is already allocated.
Good service can be hard to find in South Florida. The service at the Fort Lauderdale property is amazing. Every single person we interacted with, from the front office staff to the pool and beach attendants, to the server in the restaurant, were genuinely eager to make sure everyone had a great stay.
Four Seasons hires people with personality and keeps them happy, and this property is no different.
The Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is located in South Florida. The hotel has a beautiful design, an excellent restaurant, friendly and professional service, and solid amenities.
The Four Seasons is a great place to stay in Fort Lauderdale.
