Chuck Schumer reacts to Democrats retaining control of Senate: 'This election is a victory and vindication'

This election is a victory and vindication for Democrats, our agenda and our accomplishments, and for America and the American people.

Schumer was reacting to the results of the Nevada Senate race.

Schumer said the American people rejected the anti-democratic, authoritarian, nasty, and divisive direction the Republicans wanted to take.

There are some seats in the US House that are not called. The Democrats need 18 seats while the Republicans need eight.
