My Meal of the Week feature examines an airline meal from my travels over the years. This may be a meal from earlier in the week or it may be a meal served over a decade ago.

I had the chance to try theImpossible Meatball bowl on a recent United Airlines flight.

Impossible Meatball Bowl On United Airlines

I flew to Pittsburgh earlier this week, but I don't write about it. I flew from Los Angeles to Chicago. Since it was a widebody plane, pre-orders were not available and I had to choose between chicken or meatballs.

The meatballs were described in this way in June.

The Impossible Meatball bowl features three Impossible Meatballs made from plants and broccolini served on a bed of couscous and topped with an herb-infused tomato sauce. Impossible Meatballs are made with a custom mix of Impossible Beef made from plants and Impossible Sausage, seasoned with a savory homestyle spice blend.

I will buy Impossible Meat if it is a single sale and I like the taste of it in a pasta bake or in a chili dish.

I found the meatballs very acceptable for a late-night snack, even though I was a bit skeptical about the consistency. There is a substitute for fresh fruit on the side of the cheese. I thought the cheese and meatballs combination was better.

I left the bread behind and ate the cookie that said "pie in the sky"

I would order these meatballs again, even though they will no longer be on the menu.
