Matthew Stafford is not expected to play on Sunday as he is still recovering from a concussion.

According to Jeremy Fowler, John Wolford is going to start in place of Matthew Stafford.

Kyler Murray may not play if he tests his injury in the warm ups.

After leading the Rams to a Super Bowl title last season, Matthew Stafford has had a hard time in his second season. The Rams are fighting to get back into the playoffs.

The veteran quarterback was placed in the concussion protocol after the team's Week 9 loss. He was a limited participant in the Friday practice.

The medical staff spoke to the quarterback after the game and asked if he had suffered a concussion, but Sean McVay told reporters he didn't have an indication.

It's not for me to truly understand whether or not he has a concussion. There are necessary steps that need to be taken.

Since the 2020 season, he has been a backup quarterback.

"John's a guy that when he's been in these situations, he's stepped in and done a really good job," McVay said after Stafford was put in the concussion protocol. It wasn't too long ago that he had to come in and help us get into the playoffs, and he did a great job.

The game was played in January of 2021, when Wolford took over and led the Rams to an 18-7 win over the Cards.

The Rams are playing the Cards at Sofi Stadium. There is an hour and a half later.
