Between 4,000 and 6,000 people watched the show on Friday, which was Veterans Day, as part of the three-day event.

The mayor of Dallas said it was a terrible tragedy.

He said the videos were heart-breaking. Please pray for the souls who took to the sky to entertain and educate our families.

He said that no one on the ground had been injured.

Several planes were scheduled to perform a flyover on Saturday, according to the website.

In the air war against Germany in WW2, the B17 bomber played a big part.

The Soviet Air Force only used the P 63 Kingcobra in combat during the war.

Hank Coats, from the Commemorative Air Force which organised the event, said that the P-63 has a single pilot, but he couldn't confirm any deaths.

He said that the air show was a WW2 flight demonstration type.
