The building that was damaged by Russian shelling was painted by street artist Banksy.

The artist left his impression of a gymnast balancing on a pile of rubble by sharing a picture of it on his social media accounts.

The Russian invasion of the Ukranian capital of Kyiv has been the most damaging. The war began in February and Russian troops occupied the town for weeks before it was taken over by the Ukrainians.

There are two other artworks that are similar to Banksy's style, but they have not been proven to be his pieces.

There is a mural depicting a man being flipped by a young boy. The old man looks like Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is a black belt in martial arts.

The third piece in Irpin depicts a gymnast wearing a neckbrace.
