  • As rumors of a White House run emerge, Ron DeSantis was easily reelected this week.

According to The New York Post, Ron DeSantis is ignoring Donald Trump's jabs against him, and the Florida governor has begun disassociating himself from the former president.

The source said there was no upside to rolling around in the mud with Trump. There is only one downside.

The source said that he would continue to govern effectively, build his war chest and elevate himself in the minds of Republican voters. According to the report, if he's seen getting things done, that's a victory.

Charlie Crist was defeated in the race for governor of Florida. Republicans picked up several House seats as a result of his efforts in the state, which could make him a candidate for president in four years.

Trump has taken a number of jabs at his former ally this week, calling him an "average Republican governor with great Public Relations" and giving him a nickname.

Ron De Sanctimonious is playing games. He said that he was only focused on the Governor's race and that he wasn't looking into the future. In regards to loyalty and class, that's not the right answer, according to Trump.

According to CBS News, some of the allies of the Florida governor have expressed disdain for Trump and are encouraging him to run for president. The source told the Post that the "distancing" between the two men was going on for a long time.

The tabloid made fun of Trump as a nursery-rhyme character.
