You can watch the live launch of the falcon 9 rocket.
A two-hour window that opens at 11:06 a.m. on Saturday will allow for the launch of the two Intelsat satellites on a Falcon 9 rocket. The time is 1606GMT. You can watch live at Space.com or via the company.
This will be the 14th liftoff for the first stage of the Falcon 9. The company wrote in a mission description that the booster helped loft Demo-2 and the other missions.
The first 20 years of the company's existence were marked by 20 unforgettable missions.
This will be the booster's last flight, but there is no mention of the rocket coming back to earth for a safe landing.
If everything goes according to plan, the two satellites will be put into a transfer position about 33 minutes and 38 minutes after launch. The duo will help refresh Intelsat's communications fleet. Intelsat officials stated that the high-speed satellites represent a new generation of technology for customers.
Older North American-focused satellites will be replaced ingeosynchronously, so they will stay above one area of Earth.
This will be the second Intelsat launch in a month, and the first since October 8. It was the 14th mission for that Falcon 9's first stage.
Intelsat officials said at the time that the two satellites would provide new capabilities in the C-band.
Adding to the company's growing single-year record, Saturday's launch will be the 52nd for the company in the next four years. This year, there have been 48 flights using a previously flown Falcon 9 rocket.
The majority of the launches this year have helped to grow the Starlink satellite internet constellation. Cargo and crew missions to the International Space Station will be carried out with Falcon 9s in 2022.
The Falcon Heavy was flown by the SpaceX. It was the first flight of the powerful rocket since June.
