The USC starting running back was taken off the field on a cart with an injury.
In the second quarter, Dye's left leg appeared to get twisted as he was tackled on a carry. Dye was put in an air cast and then lifted onto a cart. As he was carted off the field, the entire USC team gathered around.
In the last nine games of the season, Dye has rushed for 858 yards on 136 carries and averaged 6.3 yards per carry. He had 26 yards on nine runs.
Losing Dye would be a big blow to the team. He has become the linchpin of USC's offense after transferring from Oregon. He is one of USC's captains and has been a strong voice on the team.
Lincoln Riley's offense is set in motion by Dye's consistency. He has five games of 100 yards or more.
If Dye is unable to play, USC will have to use another transfer, Austin Jones, as well as freshman Raleek Brown. Jones and Brown both have over 200 yards on 41 carries.
