There were a number of issues that caused conflict between Crane and Click, ranging from the size of the baseball operations staff to Click's concerns that other people in the organization influenced Crane.
Click's contract ended five days before the Astros won the title. Despite not having a contract, he was in Las Vegas for the general manager meetings.
Baker was re-signed by the Astros for a year. Crane said during the press conference that he was in talks with Click about an extension.
