Major League Baseball free agency began on Thursday with 14 free agents getting offers from their former teams.

The offer was for a one-year contract worth $19.65 million.

The New York Yankees have a baseball player.

Jacob deGrom is a pitcher for the Mets.

Turner is a Dodgers player.

The Boston Red Sox have a player in the middle of the field.

Dansby is a Braves player.

Carlos Rodn is a left-handed pitcher for the Giants.

Brandon Nimmo plays for the Mets.

Chris Bassitt is a right-handed pitcher.

Willson is a catcher for the Cubs.

First baseman for the Yankees.

The Dodgers have a left-handed pitcher.

The Texas Rangers have a left-handed pitcher.

Joc Pederson plays for the Giants.

Nathan Eovaldi is a right-handed pitcher for the Boston RedSox.

The players have ten days to make a decision.

The best players are usually the ones who turn them down. Eight of the 112 offers have been accepted. Brandon Belt was the only one of the 14 players to say yes to the offers.

Anderson, Perez, Pederson and Eovaldi could consider accepting the offer. The window for working out a longer-term deal is 10 days.

If he has been with the same team continuously since opening day and has never received a qualifying offer before, he can be a free agent. If a team makes a qualifying offer to a player who signs a major league contract with another club before the amateur draft, his former club will receive a draft pick as compensation.

The average of the top 125 contracts is what the qualification price is. In 2012 the price was $13.3 million.
