Ionia, Mich. is located in Michigan A woman has been ordered to stand trial on murder and other charges after five bicyclists were struck by her vehicle as they rode in a charity event.

Ionia County District Judge Raymond Voet said during a preliminary hearing Thursday that there was a cocktail of drugs in the system of Mandy Benn.

Benn acted with a willful disregard of life.

Benn crossed the center line on a rural road in Ronald Township and hit a group of bicyclists who were participating in a charity ride.

It is northeast of Grand Rapids.

Benn had no alcohol in her system but was slurring her speech and could not follow instructions.

The two men who were killed were Edward and Michael. The men were injured.

A woman who lives on the road where the bicyclists were hit witnessed the crash.

Mayle said that she saw a body flying through the air.

Benn appeared confused after the bicyclists were hit.

Hesche said that she looked right at him and said that he looked like a real person. I was surprised by that. It was like she was somewhere else.

Three prescription drugs were found in Benn's system. She didn't have a prescription for the drug.

French and Downes agreed that there were levels of medication in her system. French said that the results were not large.

He was being questioned by the prosecution.
