The Texas Rangers had a losing record for the sixth year in a row and are looking to upgrade their pitching staff.

According to Jon Morosi of the MLB Network, the Rangers have contacted the agents for three athletes.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, deGrom is interested in the Rangers but that Rodn may be a better fit for Texas.

The Rangers tried to sign the LA Dodgers ace before he returned to the team.

According to Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today, they are trying to re-sign Pérez, who is likely to get a qualifying offer.

DeGrom has a high risk-reward potential. He only made 11 starts for the New York Mets last season due to a shoulder injury.

In the past two seasons, deGrom has only been able to throw 156.1 in 26 starts due to injuries.

Rodn had the best two years of his baseball career. The left-handed pitcher has an earned run average of 2.67 Over 55 starts since the beginning of the year, 1.00 WHIP and 423 strikeouts have been recorded. He was a member of the San Francisco Giants last year.

Baseball fans in the United States don't know much about the 29-year-old right-handed pitcher, but he is ranked as the 18th best free agent by The Athletic.

Law wrote that Senga's arsenal varies from below average to just slightly above. The pitch he has is an average one, but he has a true curveball that looks like it would be an average pitch.

A pitcher for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of NPB, Senga had a 1.94 earned run average with 156 strikeouts.

The Rangers gave control of their front office to Chris Young after firing Jon Daniels as president of baseball operations.

The Daniels-Young front office spent a lot of money last winter to bring in several people.

The results Texas hoped for didn't come to fruition. The team finished in fourth place in the American League West. The starting rotation of the Rangers was the fifth worst in Major League Baseball in wins above replacement.
