I was pleasantly surprised to see the official trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin, the sequel to The Witcher, and I think it looks great. Blood Origin, which takes place 1,200 years before the events of the main series, was not something I was looking forward to. The new trailer may have swayed me to watch it.
It looks like Blood Origin will be an epic and battle-filled fantasy series, and based on a few brief snippets in the trailer, it seems that Yeoh will be playing a critical role. I am crossing my fingers for some awesome action scenes, I am still in awe of Yeoh's performance. Better yet, Blood Origin is just four episodes, meaning it could be the perfect thing to watch over the course of an afternoon with a few mugs of hot tea. The show will premiere on December 25th so I will probably have a lot of cookies.
If Blood Origin is good, I might be able to watch the other two seasons of the game before it is released. Geralt will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth in the fourth season, but I don't want to get too attached to him.
