The first thing a GOP-controlled House will do is introduce a bill to tighten security at the southern border, McCarthy said over the weekend.

If the GOP takes the House, leadership is preparing to restart investigations into allegations of tax fraud against Biden's son, Hunter, starting with the release of new findings related to the younger Biden's bank activity.

McCarthy said Republicans will conduct immediate oversight of the agency if they take power.

McCarthy told Punchbowl News in October that the U.S. will not give a "blank check" to Ukraine.

What To Watch For

New leadership is expected to be elected on Wednesday. McCarthy has announced that he is running for speaker.

The Members are vying for top spots in the Republican-controlled House.
