
The most successful motorcyclist in Northern Ireland has died.
He was a four-time British champion.
He decided to retire from racing in September of 2021.
Farmer won the National Superstock 600 title in 2011; the National Superstock 1000cc title in 2012; and the British Supersport title in 2017:
The Northern Ireland rider competed for the Paul Bird Motorsport team, as well as the Buildbase Suzuki team.
Farmer raced in the feature British Superbike series as well as the support championship.
He had been offered a ride in the Superbike class by iForce Lloyd & Jones BMW when he decided to retire.
He said that he decided to retire early because of the crashes.
He said at the time of his retirement that he had had a tough year. It's time to leave.

It was sad to hear of the death of a respected and deeply popular rider.
All that had the pleasure of meeting him throughout his career will be missed.
He was a brilliant and successful rider who will be remembered by his rivals, colleagues and fans.

Injuries hampered Farmer's British Superbikes prospects.
Steve Parrish, a former racer and current commentator, said that he was sad to hear of Farmer's death. A good rider and a nice one. My thoughts are with his family at this time.
