Errol Spence was ordered by the World Boxing Council to defend his title.

The order was placed during the convention of the World Boxing Council in Mexico.

His professional career has seen him knockout 22 opponents. After a 10th-round knockout of Yordenis Ugas last April, he won the WBA belt.

He is 29-1 with one no contest lifetime. There was a split decision against him in the boxing ring.

The match resulted in a loss for the champ. He won an unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios.

After negotiations between Crawford and Spence fell through, the Thurman fight became a reality. There was a discussion about what happened there.

When it became clear to Crawford that PBC was targeting the first quarter of 2023 for that fight, he decided to push forward with a title defense."
