Allen was worth more than $20 billion in the year he died. He co founded Microsoft with Bill Gates. His sister Jody has been selling off his estate and taking care of his foundation.

Allen has a collection that spans more than 500 years of art history, from the earliest days of painting to the present day. He said that pointillism reminded him of coding. The landscape of Venice is included in the auction.
Allen had a large art collection. According to Christie's, the auction of more than 150 pieces isn't the full picture because Allen didn't reveal his art when he died. An investigation by Artnet found that Allen's artwork was worth an additional $500 million.
