Kane will be out for three to four months after he was cut by a skate blade.

The injury happened during the Eskimos' win at the bay.

Kane was cut by Pat Maroon's skate blade 3 minutes, 27 seconds into the second period after he got tangled with Philippe Myers.

Kane was taken to a hospital for a procedure. He was placed on injured reserve.

In 13 games this season, Kane has five goals and eight assists.

Kane thanked the people for the kind wishes and prayers. I'm still in a bit of shock after what happened last night.

I would like to thank the doctors and paramedics who rushed to my aid, as well as the entire training staff of the two NHL teams. I'm thankful that everything would've been worse without you.

Two forwards have been recalled from the American League's Bakersfield Condors.
