Wilson responds to Carroll: I won a lot in Seattle without a wristband (0:41)

Just 10 days after Russell Wilson wore a wristband with a play sheet on it in the Broncos' win over Jacksonville in London, he was asked about any hesitation he might have had to wear one.

PeteCarroll praised Geno Smith for wearing one this season to make playcalling more efficient. "We didn't do that in the past because there was resistance to that, but Wilson missed only three games at quarterback in the previous 10 seasons,'' said the coach.

Wilson said before practice that they won a lot of games there without him. If you wore a wristband, winning or losing mattered to me. I will do everything I can to make sure that we're moving and rolling. I wear a wristband depending on the game plan, what we've got called and other things.

Wilson wore a wristband in the Broncos' win over the Jags. Wilson had a touchdown and was 18 of 30.

It's not the first time that he has taken a jab at his former quarterback. "It's hard for him numbers-wise and all that,'' said the coach on Seattle Sports 710 AM after the season opener.

Wilson had a season best in that game with a touchdown.
