The redesign of the Google Home app is now available to some users. If you want to try out the new app, you can easily sign up inside the app.
To get started, you will need to request an invite within the Google Home app for both phones and tablets. Some people have had to wait a long time to be accepted, so be prepared to wait.
Go to the settings menu if the preview is available to you. You will be able to see public preview under general. You can try out the preview by clicking on the request invite.
You will be able to use a lot of the new features once you sign up. The new setting makes it easy to favorite devices, cameras, and in the future, Automations, so you can quickly access them. The new Spaces feature allows you to quickly check out and control similar devices.
You can change the routine for these devices. You can use a motion sensor to turn on lights when you walk into a room or have your robot vacuum turn on when your door is locked.
You might encounter bugs as a public preview. People are being asked to submit feedback via the app.
If you don't like any of the new changes, don't worry. You can go back to the stable version of the app by removing the invite from the settings.
