The Buffaloes have been without a five-star men's basketball prospect in at least fifteen years.

Although Arizona, UCLA and USC also recruited him, Williams chose the LSU program.

Williams said that the players and the program are very connected. I think of myself as part of it. The staff and coach are great. Whether it's on or off the court, you know the truth when you hear it from the coach. It is to assist you. He's a very nice person.

The younger brother of the Santa Clara basketball player who came out of nowhere to be selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA draft last year is called Williams.

He said that his brother was a great help. I was told what to look for. A place where I could learn. I think I'm going to achieve my goals in Colorado. Being one of the top rookies in the country and one day playing in the NBA. I will take it step by step.

Williams is one of the top small forwards in the country. In 24 games with Vegas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, he averaged 15 points, 4.1 rebound and 2.1 assists.

Williams has the same upside and ceiling as anyone in the class of 2023. He moved up more than 35 spots after his stellar showings on the grassroots circuit.

He has become a player with potential for more. Williams'Versatility on both ends is impressive. He beats defenders with his 3-point shots. His size makes him able to score over smaller defenders. He is able to create his own shot and find teammates.

He wants to shine in the future on the defensive end because of his foot speed and wingspan.

Williams loves defense. Most do not pay enough attention to my defense. My brother is getting playing time because he commits himself to guarding, switch and rebound.

Williams is Colorado's first five-star recruit since 2007, and the Buffaloes' first ever 100 commitment. He is the second four-star guard in as many months to pick Colorado.
