The refunds for Stadia games, add-ons, and subscription fees will be processed by the end of the month. According to the company's newly updated Stadia shutdown FAQ, beginning Wednesday, you will be able to get a refunds for your transactions.

If you receive an email with a question about your refunds, please watch it. If you make less than 20 purchases on the Stadia store, you will get an email for each transaction. If you've made 21 or more purchases, you'll get a single email about the refunds.

The company will email the account you used for the purchase if it can't issue a refunds. The email will show you how to set up another method for your refunds. If you have deleted your account, we will still try to Refunds the transaction to the original form of payment. The company wants you to reach out to Stadia if that is not available.

The cloud gaming service will shut down on January 18th, which is the same day that most Stadia refunds will be processed. The FAQ update from the company doesn't say when the refunds will be processed. The company doesn't have any timing to offer on hardware transactions beyond January.

Even developers working with the company on games for the cloud gaming platform were unaware of the sudden announcement that Stadia was going to be shut down. Stadia game progress can be carried over to other platforms if you know how. While it is a blow to cloud gaming, Microsoft and Nvidia are still invested in the technology, and nowNetflix is looking at a cloud gaming platform of its own.

We were wrong when we said the majority of refunds would be processed by January 18. We apologize for the mistake.
