Breeze Airways is back in expansion mode.

John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California will be the starting point for the airline to fly to three destinations.

Breeze has 34 airports since the spring of 2021.

There will be daily flights between the two cities, as well as flights between the two states of Florida and Utah.

Extra legroom and first class seats are included with Breeze's "Nicest" fare product and can be purchased as an upgrade. It's rare for a domestic first class product to have built in legrests.

Breeze launched last year with a fleet of Embraer E190 and E195 regional jets leased from Azul in Brazil. Breeze is able to expand and operate longer-range routes between smaller airports with the addition of the A 220, which has the range to connect any two cities in the continental U.S..

Breeze was forced to delay the launch of many new routes and markets due to staffing shortages and supply chain issues.

The situation has improved according to Lukas Johnson.

Johnson said that they were back into heavy growth mode. We're ramping very fast.

We'll be announcing a lot more spring markets in the coming weeks and then early next year, and we'll keep growing from there," he said.

Several routes from Los Angeles International Airport are still planned for launch.

It can take years of waiting in order to get landing rights at the airport, and that's an exciting opportunity for the airline.

If you buy by November 15 you'll be able to get fares between Orange County and Provo for $48 each way. The cheapest fares are $199 and $99.
