The Secretary of State said that the race for the Georgia Senate would go to a second round.

The candidate with the most votes will win the seat. Two Senate hopefuls will go to a second round of voting.

We have less than 20,000 votes left to count. It isn't enough to change the race. On the "Brian Kilmeade Show", Raffensperger said that this is going to be a runoff.

Control of the Senate, along with races in Arizona and Nevada, could be determined by the Georgia race. To get a majority in the Senate, Republicans need to win two of the three contests.

The presence of a Libertarian candidate helped to deny Walker the majority they needed to win the election. According to NBC News, with 98% of the vote counted, Warnock had won 49.2% of the vote. Oliver received a small amount of votes.

There are runoffs in Georgia. Doug Collins, a Republican who was in the race, won 20% of the vote and sent the two candidates to a January runoff.

Johnny Isakson, a Republican who resigned from the Senate in January due to health issues, won the seat in 2016 that was held by Warnock. A special election could be held in November 2020.

Whoever is elected this year will serve a full six-year term because Isakson's term would have ended in 2023.
