It is time for Robert O' Rourke to stop running for office in Texas. We have had enough Beto for a long time.

The former El Paso city councilman ran against Cruz in the Senate race. He ran for president after losing. He was dispatched by Gov. Greg Abbott, who was re-elected Tuesday.

O'Rourke needs to stop running for office because he's lost all of his races. In Texas, his liberal policies are not welcome. Even though he was a moderate in the recent race against Abbott, it was only after he sounded like a radical gun rights advocate while running for president.

When he came back to the Lone Star state, he was seen as squishy and unreliable by the people he spoke to.

He seemed detached from reality in his concession speech. He blamed voter suppression and said he was behind on campaign money.

Texas has significant upsides, like a booming economy, and challenges, like a struggling power grid, but O'Rourke doesn't have the gravitas to lead them.

The former congressman is overstaying his welcome. He ran for three offices in four years because he wanted to win something. He said he was just born to be a part of it.

He is like that annoying ex who calls you every now and then but also a bunch of other exes. He just wants to be taken care of. Twice, Texas has ghosted him. He should be aware of what's going on.

The amount of money O'Rourke has raised over the last four years is mind-blowing. He raised $90 million for his Senate race against Ted Cruz and $60 million for his governor race against Greg Abbott in the last two years. Out-of-state donors made up 40% of the sum of O'Rourke's donations.

Texans don't want O'Rourke.

I have interviewed O'Rourke twice. He is a nice person. He thought he could make a difference. In a more moderate state, he might have been received well.

After multiple losses, it is clear that he is intent on improving peoples lives through politics. This is a guy who wants to keep his name in the public eye through politics.

Texans won't allow that to happen. The jig is up after O'Rourke started as a joke. He won't be running for office in Texas anymore.
