Less than a month after Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc in southwest Florida, the area is bracing for another major weather event. The storm is expected to hit eastern Florida by Wednesday night.

The MCO and another airport in the area have announced Wednesday closings. Commercial flights at the airport will stop at 4 pm. Tomorrow is an unknown period.

The airport is expected to reopen Thursday after closing tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Disney World had begun to announce specific resort closings ahead of Nicole.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and the Bungalows at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will close tomorrow through Friday, according to the initial announcement.

According to their website, The Walt Disney World Water Parks and Miniature Golf locations will be closed for a short time on November 10.

At least three cruise lines diverted ships from their original destinations to the Caribbean.
