Brendan Fraser needs to come back. He may have gotten the role of a lifetime with The Whale. Two decades ago, Fraser starred in films like The Mummy and George of the Jungle. Fraser's performance in Gods and monsters was one of his best. The Whale is completely different. It is possible that Fraser will be nominated for Best actor at the Oscars.
The whale is an official trailer for A 24.
The trailer shows Fraser playing Charlie, a man who was once a family man with a wife and daughter. Charlie fell in love with another man. When Charlie's lover died, he became grotesquely overweight. Charlie doesn't have to give up and let himself die even though his actions were born out of grief. He has a chance to fix things with his daughter.
In the film, Sink plays the emotional heart of the film. There is a question of whether this father and daughter pair can reconcile because she still has feelings for her father. This drama is about seeing if the relationship can be saved.
The film features Hong Chau as Charlie's nurse and his best friend, as well as his ex- wife and mother. The rest of the cast are Ty Simpkins, Sathya Sridharan and Dan.
The script was written by Samuel D. Hunter. The Whale will be released on December 9.
