  • Samsung's new update is said to have bricked the Galaxy Watch 4 for many.
  • The new R8xxXXU1GVI3 update is likely to brick the device during reboot.
  • Samsung has apparently paused the rollout and says a fix is coming soon.

Some of the devices in the Classic edition have been bricked. The newest version of the company's software has made the devices useless.

SamMobile claims that the R8xxXXU1GVI3 has recently been released to the Classic edition models of the GALAXY WATCH. After installing the new update, some users of the community forms have noticed that their watches aren't working. Users apply the update with no issues, but once the device turns off or fails to restart, the device can't be used again.

The R8xxXXU1GVI3 update appears to be the cause of the primary issue. If you've applied the update, you should try not to turn off or restart your watch until there's a fix for Wear OS.

That could be a short wait. The update has been stopped, and a quick fix appears to be in the works, according to a statement from the company.
